Essential Items to Keep You Warm and Cozy This Winter – Part 1

by Emily Hammell:

Welcome one and all, to the new – and improved – Footsloggers blog, adorably named Footnotes! My name is Emily, and I’m here to share new information and updates with you about our store, our gear and our awesome adventures. I hope we can all learn something cool from this blogging experience.

Footsloggers is full of employees who put their hearts and souls into the business, and we are here for you. I hope you enjoy Footnotes and all it has to offer. I’m certainly happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity to do so.

Winter has finally arrived in the High Country! How are you staying warm during this winter season? Could it be time for an update to your winter gear? Do you need to keep your hands warm? Maybe you need a new coat?

Here is a list of a few items to keep you cozy and warm throughout the winter season:

First, we have the Biolite FirePit+. This mobile fire pit will keep you warm no matter where you go. It has easy-to-use foldable legs and fan-controlled combustion assisting your flames with four different speeds.

The see-through mesh siding allows you to view all of those beautiful flames as you cook your dinner or relax and gaze at the stars. Gather your loved ones around the fireplace, the BioLite FirePit+ that is!

Now, to one of my favorite little items on the market. The perfect gift for those who are environmentally conscious (like me!). The refillable Zippo Hand Warmer will not only keep your hands from freezing with up to twelve hours of flameless heat, but it will prevent you from throwing away countless amounts of disposable hand warmers.

Do you have a fellow hunter in your life? Or an avid football fan? This little hand warmer is small and compact, it can fit almost anywhere, keeping you toasty for hours. We also have Zippo fuel available as well, making us the one stop shop.

As we move on, I’d love to mention a sleeping bag that we offer. The Nemo “Sonic 0” is just as cozy as it is comfy. This sleeping bag is full of features to keep you warm in colder months. From 100% Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified 800 FP hydrophobic down to an extra insulated and waterproof toe box, this sleeping bag has you “covered” in the cold.

Built to be comfortable from -20 F to 40 F, this highly versatile bag has the “Thermo Gill” vent system you can open if it’s not as cold or close during freezing temps. My favorite feature is that it’s slightly “spooned shaped” which means you can sleep on your side with an ease and comfort that is unmatched. And as always, this Nemo product is protected by Nemo’s Lifetime Warranty.

If you need a cozy, incredibly warm coat this winter season, look no further than Patagonia’s Jackson Glacier Jacket. Not only is this jacket weather and wind-proof, it also comes filled with 700-fill-power, 100% recycled down. It has an insulated hood with adjustments, two large front pockets, two-way front waterproof zippers, and the list goes on and on. Did I get this coat for my husband this year to keep him warm and cozy? You bet I did, and he loves it!

As always, we appreciate each and every one of our customers. I feel incredibly proud to be a part of the Footsloggers Family, and I am so happy to share this space with y’all. If you have any questions about anything outdoors, we are always here to help.

We love you, and until next time, stay warm my fellow Sloggers!
